Paranoia & Relief

By James S L Carter

1. PARANOIA
W’ rasping growl the world I curse
Th@ seems 2 preview my own hearse;
!@ ev’ry corner w8 & C
Imminent death @10ding me!

Suicide-bombers shall in cars
Pursue me … mangled spars & scars …
My f8 4dooms my prospect sore
As B-ing 1 of the Clan Gore.

My worldly enemies out-plan
My living death, their Target Man.
…I whimper as I voices hear,
Critical, violent, far & near,
Till a black hole eats the last spark,
Leaving a whistle in the dark…

2. RELIEF

Some-1 2 help in problem time,
A helper when I’m past my prime;
Spokesperson, advoc8 B-9,
A nurse, a person 2 rely on
When always other folk desert
Me thought of dangerous, berserk:-

A human presence, rati’nal, sane,
2 speak 4 me time & again
Yet never let the secret out
I am approached w’ fear & doubt.
Consider8 compassion’s care,
Beautif’lly simply 2 B there,
Whose wise advice relieves pained life:-
A friend @ all times … shrewd ex-wife …
